URA-Inform. Deputies intend to ban palm oil
Ukrainian deputies proposed to prohibit the use of palm oil in Ukraine. The proposal to ban the use of the oil came from the deputy Viktor Baloha.
deputy introduced a bill for a parliamentary review of palm oil and its fractions, proposing to prohibit use in Ukraine. The bill says that the state must protect the health and lives of the citizens from the hazards that may be present in the product.
It also set the parameters within which food must meet. A currently available monitoring system for the production of palm oil does not guarantee the protection of consumer health.
