23 Algerian state company OAIC
held a tender for the purchase of
at least 50 thousand tons of durum wheat with option any origin. According to Reuters,
in this tender was procured 500-600 thousand tons of
durum wheat at price $ 400-410
per ton on CIF basis with delivery in March-May.
TradeKeyNews informers note that in 2012/13 Ukraine does not exercise the supply of wheat to Algeria. In
recent years, Ukraine is not represented
in the market of this country,
and the largest volume of deliveries to
Algeria in the last decade occurred
in 2005/06, when it was delivered
more than 320 thousand tons of Ukrainian wheat.
